VERO BEACH - The Citrus Grillhouse, a traditional American bistro with a touch of Italian and French influence, will be the restaurant anchor of Ocean Park of Vero Beach.

The 163-seat restaurant is scheduled to open in December. It will offer indoor and outdoor dining with an ocean view.

Ocean Park, adjacent to Humiston Park, will also have retail shops and residential units. It is being developed by Flamevine Partners.

Chef Scott Varricchio has trained in some of the finest kitchens in the country, including Ouest and La Cote Basque in New York City and Picasso at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. TV food programs and culinary magazines have featured his dishes.

"The flavors of citrus are fresh, crisp and flavorful, which is how I like to describe my dishes," the chef said. "Citrus also happens to be one of my favorite culinary ingredients, so now it's the inspiration for my new restaurant's name."

He said the theme is "urban chic meets beachy."

His wife, Allison, said: "We envision a family-friendly, energetic atmosphere where locals, tourists, families and professionals are always made to feel welcome and comfortable."

Initially, only dinner will be served. They plan to offer breakfast and lunch service at a later date.

Earl's Hideaway, Sebastian Florida, Fun Along The Indian River Lagoon

Sebastian, Florida is just north of Vero Beach and it is a favorite destination for many.
It is a laid-back small town along the Indian River Lagoon with some great restaurants
and bars.   Earl's Hideaway is one of them.  As you can see it is a favorite with the bikers.
It is a fun place to stop for a beer and do some people watching.  They have some great
local bands that perform and sing of life along the Indian River Lagoon.

Sunset, "RIVERSIDE CAFE", Vero Beach Florida, Riverfront Dining

 

                                     Riverside Cafe, Vero Beach Florida

This is the sign outside the Riverside Cafe in Vero Beach, Florida.   I was there for lunch
so the sunset time was not yet posted.  They have spectacular sunsets here over the
Indian River Lagoon.   It is a fun place for an evening cocktail or dinner.  As the sign
warns, everyone looks out on the sunset, even the staff.    If you come to Vero Beach,
you have to come to the Riverside Cafe at sunset to enjoy!!  Another day in Paradise!
